Temporary suspension of all FedEx and TNT services in Russia (including domestic services) and Belarus until further notice. Locations in Ukraine have been temporarily closed. Inbound and outbound FedEx and TNT services to and from Ukraine have been temporarily suspended.
As of today, the situation is as follows:
Ukraine:
- All FedEx and TNT services are temporarily suspended to and from Ukraine until further notice.
- All shipments destined for Ukraine and currently transiting the FedEx and TNT network will be returned to the sender, if possible.
- Shipments will be returned free of charge, via our Economy service option.
Russia:
- All FedEx and TNT international and domestic services to, from and within Russia are temporarily suspended until further notice.
- All shipments to Russia currently transiting the FedEx and TNT network, including those already collected as of February 24, will be returned to the sender, if possible.
- Shipments will be returned free of charge via the Economy service option.
- Shipments already entering Russia will continue to be delivered.
Belarus:
- Effective immediately, all FedEx and TNT services are temporarily suspended to and from Belarus until further notice.
- All shipments to Belarus currently transiting the FedEx and TNT network will be returned to the sender, if possible.
- Les envois seront retournés gratuitement, via l’option de service Economy.
- Shipments will be returned free of charge, via the Economy service option. Inbound shipments already in Belarus will continue to be delivered
All pickups and deliveries are temporarily suspended in Russia and Ukraine until further notice. DHL offices are also closed in these destinations.
CESAM - the Committee of Marine and Transport Insurers - has increased the danger rating for the transport of goods in the areas of Ukraine, Black Sea and Sea of Azov (rating 8) and Belarus and Russia (rating 7). This means that for goods to be loaded through these areas, the war risk covers are automatically canceled. War risks" cover will have to be provided on a case-by-case basis.In this case the ad valorem insurance does not cover war risks.
Ukrainian harbors are closed and most shipowners have suspended services to Russian ports.
Ukrainian, Belarusian and Moldovan airspace is closed. Russia has closed its airspace to 36 countries, including the European Union.
The national and EU authorities call on all companies to respect the sanctions applied to Russia, including the prohibitions on dual-use goods and other specific goods and technologies. In this respect, the probable increase in the number of related controls carried out by the customs authorities may lead to delays, which are beyond Ziegler's control and responsibility.
